The upright Dyson DC27 Animal Vacuum Cleaner is specially designed to act as an all-around pet hair remover.  Simply the best vac I've ever had., 2010-07-08
The title says it all, this is simply the best vac I've ever had. I have a chocolate labrador, thus leaving brown hairs everwhere and this vac is the only thing that has doesn't make a chore of removing dog hairs. The best thing is the attachment for the stairs which has a rotating brush and instead of spending half an hour scraping at the stairs with my old vac which also was a dyson, now it is literally done in minutes with no physical effort. All the other attachments are stored on the vac so it's really easy and convenient. This is quite a heavy vac, but if like me you have a big dog shedding lots of hair, and don't want to empty it every 2 minutes then the weight is worth it.

This is just a wee brilliant hover which it does as it says on the box, great for the Car/Caravan and anywere else you can think of, well worth its weight in gold!!! so dont go buying anything else, you can feel the build quality in the Dyson DC30. Very easy disasemble for cleaning out and dont get your hands dirty with the easy drop down hatch straight into your household bin.

Surprisingly good little vacuum accessory, 2010-07-23
If you have a pet, a poor carpet and dirt/hair/fluff that sticks to it then I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
Initially I was disappointed as it was so small/light. However I am now amazed at how powerful it is. That little turbine thingy on the side actually does do an amazing job and my stairs really are cleaner than before. I tend to use it on the end of the concertina hose (and not on the metal tube) as it's easier for me, with a bend in the staircase. But it works well with the metal tube as well.
Just a little concerned about the build quality. I have no complaints but the plastic looks as though it is of the type that could shatter from a bit of a height (if you dropped the hose with the attachment on to a hard surface for example). It would have been more reassuring if the plastic body was of the more 'rubbery' variety.
But as I say - that's not a complaint as I haven't tested it (yet).
I can't see that there would be anything to be gained from having a heavier/larger model. And in fact it would make it more cumbersome.
It's great on car seats and carpets too.

After a couple of dysons that lasted many years, i bought a cheap vax from tesco for £50, what a waste of money that was. I then purchased this dyson and its quality and value shine through - or should that be suck

Excellent piece of kit. Light and easy to handle, does an excellent clean up job. Haven't found the short battery life a problem when dealing with small clean ups around the house or when used for the car. Not designed to take the place of a 'normal' household size cleaner. Expensive but worth it.
